We now machine parts up to 4 axis milling and 4 axis turning, and we are in the process of adding 5 axis milling and mill turn capability. Job Description

Use computer to upload and download programs from the server to the mill
Set up and run CNC Mill per job book with no assistance
Know how to correctly stone surfaces as needed
Blend and deburr parts to print
Calibrate and check micrometers and calipers throughout the day
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use comparator
Know tool types and wear
Know how to set tools
Know how to sweep a hole
Able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, lift 40 pounds and stand on feet for an extended period of time

Job Requirements

Must be 18 years old
High School diploma or GED preferred
Must have at least one year of previous CNC Machining experience
Must be able to do basic math, read, write and speak English
Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers
Must be able to work competently with minimal supervision
Must possess organizational ability in order to set priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Due to production requirements nightshift and/or overtime and holiday hours may be required

Job Description

Builds and repairs fixtures, gages, and shop aids
Makes special cutting tools
Modifies and/or repairs production parts
Makes obsolete machine parts as needed and repairs or modifies machine components
Performs layout and inspection
Interprets engineering drawings
Works from verbal instructions
Keeps machines clean and well lubricated
Restocks cutting tools and material for Tool Room and grinds stones so that they are available as needed

Job Requirements

High School/GED and vocational training or five plus years of previous work experience in a machine shop manufacturing environment as a tool room machinist

Takes complex precision CNC machined parts from start to finish in the manufacturing process including:
Understands all customer requirements
Designs workholding for machining and assembly as needed
Determines and/or designs gauging
Selects and requisitions cutting tools
Creates and optimizes CNC Programs
Creates documentation to allow machine operators to set up and maintain production of high quality parts
Shepherds parts through the first run
Designs any production, deburring, or handling aids as needed
Optimizes the manufacturing process
Keeps up to date on latest machining techniques to continually optimize and drive cost out of our products
Integrates work with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory
Completes projects by the required deadline, at reasonable cost, and with a robust process

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or similar engineering field
Seven years of manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment
Demonstrates proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software
Previous experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, Mastercam and/or Vericut
Proficient with GD&T
Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement
Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects
Aerospace experience a plus
CMM experience a plus

Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or similar engineering field
Requires ten years project management experience in a machining environment
Requires three years experience as Engineering Manager or CNC Programming Manager
Demonstrates proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software

Five years experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment
Demonstrates proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software
Three years experience using MasterCam
Experience in using SolidWorks, CATIA, and/or Vericut a plus

Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects
